Well, the weather couldn't have been nicer for skating at the harbour and the ice - artificially made - was just perfect after they zambonied at 7pm.

All in all, in was a good skate and the group that came were good, enthusiastic skaters. Dave appears to have been born on skates and delighted us with a story of a 13 year old boy at Nathan Phillips Square, many, many years ago...(his mother is still mad, apparently) Jo and I wore the same skates! and Natalie and I wore the same coat! (oh, how embarrassing....) and I still say Natalie looks better in her coat, but she will disagree! : ) She was kind enough to show TOCers some graceful, elegant moves that she's learned from lessons and it was just beautiful to see. Shannon enjoyed learning from Natalie and the two spun around like ballerinas on skates, in the middle of the ice. Desiree is my new hero. She's been on ice skates only once before and did so well, with seemingly no fear, no hesitancy and was skating very well after only a half hour! Oh, and Laura's new skates - really rock!!! No one fell that I know of, except for that poor, unfortunate fellow who took a header because of my errant left leg that was...stuck out suddenly. I can't remember what I was attempting to do there?. But, I'm sure he's come to a stop by now....??

Later, in Shoeless Joes, we enjoyed food and drink and had some further sport with the server. I already knew this, but don't mess with Stacy, okay, when it comes to the bill! The guy learned his lesson, I think though. Thanks Stace! And thanks to everyone who made it out. See you next time!
