What a nifty concept. They've setup the underside of the Bloor Cinema balcony to mimic a view of the night sky in Toronto. Then seating is configured to hold about 40 people of which the TOC made up the bulk. Once the lights all dimmed the starscape above our heads came alive. It was wild to see all the constellations just a few meters from where we sat.

Describing himself as our 'Guide on the Side' the narrator used a laser pointer to help illustrate the various objects of note. In addition to the stars above, he had a multimedia presentation that played on the big screen which took us beyond our Earthly bounds and into the skies above. Trippy. We also heard about possibly faked moon landings, alien invaders poised around our planet, and much more conventional stuff.

Many audience members were also quite familiar with Astronomy so that made the questions and answers even better.

All in all, it was a wonderfully unique experience that we'll be revisiting in other forms (Killer Asteroids, Astrological Symbols, etc) again very soon.
