A beautiful fall day for a hike. We went down to the whirlpool and followed the river. After the hike, we went to Niagara FreeFall.
Everyone took a turn in the wind tunnel. We wore jumpsuits shaped like flying squirrels (minus the tail) to afford maximum surface area for the wind to catch on to. The wind tunnel was a vertical column with a large fan over a mesh that blew air at a max speed of 160KPH. Floating/Flying was an interesting experience. You have to stretch out and learn to steer yourself in the air. Most of us had to be “restrained” by the overworked instructor who had to hold on to us so that we do not go too high or stay on the ground. Most participants had a huge grin on their faces, although a few expressions of abject terror were observed. Definitely hoping for another volunteer to set up another FreeFall event.
