We departed the carpool on time and took a new route to this hike (since so many cars get lost taking the old route). We arrived in plenty of time and got started on our hike. One of our number got separated from the main group but we eventually found him and pressed on. The group covered a solid 8k, with some that returned to the parking lot to use the glamourous provincial outhouses doing about 11k in total.

It was a beautiful day which made for a great view from the lookout. The bugs were not too bad, the sun was hot, but everyone seemed to have a pretty good time. We stopped for lunch between 2 ponds where some people were fishing for trout.

So many of the other hikers were very friendly - it was so nice to be out on such a perfect day with such great people (ours and some not ours).

The journey home was uneventful and many of our members went out for a drink & a bite of food at a nearby establishment. Numerous shocking and not so shocking conversations took place before everyone headed their separate ways.

What a fantastic day!!!
