It turned out to be a day hike instead of overnight camping trip. Despite of the fact that no one is coming, I went there for a day hike. The trail was covered with 15cm fresh snow without a trace of human tracks. Mild temperature and low wind made the hike perfect. Hear nothing but your own breath and the crushing snow under your feet, see nothing but the pure white serenity. I walked up the eels creek to the High Falls. The fall was narrowed by the layers of ice, but the water still showed its tremendous power. The splash made the firs and pines spectacular crystal Christmas trees. After enjoyed some snack and cooked cup of soup, I stepped back to the parking lot to finish off this 6km easy hike. By the way, the parking lot was on top of a slop and not plowed but I managed to park my car there, thanks for the snow tires. Hopefully I can get enough people next time to make a camping trip here.
