Tommy Thompson Park is a hot spot for Torontonians in the summer and spring, for obvious reasons. However in late fall, with fewer cyclists and hikers, quietness and serenity has added more flavour to this place. Natural beauty is more appreciated. On the way to the lighthouse, we took the completely mapped out hiker’s route by lake Ontario, stopping at interesting spots as ordinary as dumpsters and as unique as art projects. When we got to our destination, the clouds gave way to beautiful blue sky and the waves hitting the shore line made a magnificent view. On the way back, we took the bike route with a little bit exploration of some work-in-progress hiker’s routes facing the city high rise and/or for bird conservation and observation.
