Itinerary:

Hiking along the waterfront and enjoying a late autumn view.

We will hike Tommy Thompson Park (“TTP”), a man-made peninsula that extends five kilometres into Lake Ontario. Still an on-going project, TTP is recognized as one of the best areas for green space improvement along the Toronto waterfront. As an 'urban wilderness', the mark is to provide critical habitat areas for wildlife along the waterfront. So far over 300 species of birds and 15 species of mammals have been documented there. This park is also an excellent place to spot and appreciate many types of flora and fauna.

We will meet at the gate of the park at 11:00 am and walk to the lighthouse and back, a distance of about 11 K at a speed of 4 kph. We should finish the walk, including photography and rest time, within 3 hours.
