Write Up:
For this event, 10 hikers left Downsview Subway Station in Toronto to hike from Rattlesnake Point (just west of Milton) to Crawford Lake. During the hike along the trail to Crawford lake, the group passed two fantastic lookouts, viewing the bottom of the escarpment. Half way through the trip, the group settled for lunch at the Crawford Lake Visitor Centre, before finding a splendid bush, full of natural raspberries. On the walk back, we encountered Crawford Lake, where we took pleasure in using the well constructed boardwalk to circle the lake. Upon completing this loop, we followed a section of the Bruce Trail to travel back up the hill to Rattlesnake Point. Total walking distance, approx 15km.
