The small, but stalwart band of hikers handled an early detour to the post-hike watering hole, a false start that added (only) about 5km to the hike, a blistered heel, and a missed turn with good grace and much humour! Great fall weather, with a bit of snow on the ground, no wind, and a very pleasant, sunny day mitigated the circumstances to a high degree, and the generous spirit of all concerned turned what could have been a couple of disasters into shrug-off items to discuss over a well-earned pint...
This was the first time a group from the TOC had tackled this section of the Bruce Trail, and everyone agreed that it's one worth doing again, at any time of the year. Relatively flat walking, but with scrambles over rocky outcrops at times, the heights of the Dufferin Quarry Bridge, and the distance - around 22km, more if you take the unsanctioned detours - make this a hike well-worth repeating.
