Itinerary:

This is typical Bruce trail terrain with many dramatic features making this a great hike and one to be remembered.

This 22km loop involves crossing the impressive Dufferin Quarry Bridge that bridges a gap in the towering cliffs that allows trucks access to the quarry. The trail follows very close to the escarpment edge offering great views of the flat plains around Toronto and passes by numerous old cedars –some in excess of 900 years in age. After crossing the Quarry Bridge, the trail leads through Hilton Falls Conservation Area on a Bruce Side trail, and eventually loops back around to the start point.

After the hike, we'll stop at Bryden's Pub in Milton, to warm up, and have a pint and a bite to eat.

Participants must be able to maintain a pace of around 4km/hr for 5 hours and there will be no dropouts. Previous TOC experience at the D4 or higher level, or equivalent, is required.
