Write Up:

Our "G" destination headed for Grazie a neighbourhood staple in the Yonge Eglinton neighbourhood for many years now. I have to admit that it's unique appeal somewhat escapes me but then so does the appeal of that neighbourhood in general. I suppose I'm just jaded having grown up in nearby Leaside, but it's well liked and popular among many people of a similar age and experience

They don't take reservations and it's a very busy restaurant. Luckily Jason had some time to kill and got our name on the list early, so we didn't have to wait too long. Which is good - since they don't have any facilities for waiting, not even in the bar. We headed to our table in the back which was considerably less noisy and Perkin was elected our official wine taster. Bry was the newest TOC member so he had to go through the usual first time questions - what do you do? how did you find the club? what do you like to do? But soon he was entertaining us with a description of his skydiving experience..still couldn't convince me, although he did make it sound appealing. We also learned that Bry doesn't like tomatoes

Most of us opted for pasta, which was not bad, but I think the general consensus was a big so-so on the restaurant. Perhaps it has to be something you need to live in the area to enjoy, but with so many other restaurants in the area it amazes me that they still have such a strong customer base after this long. Although I do recommend the Tiramisu, it is really tasty :) And the company and conversation always trumps whatever is being served. But you won't see this restaurant on any of our recommended lists.
