Write Up:
As the organizer's first urban hike with the TOC, all went pretty well. Perhaps the heavy duty hiking boots were a little much for the paved trail, but a way was found to put them to good use. The first portion of the hike involved a dirt trail, which turned out to be on the wrong side of the stream from the actual trail...

After some wading, or long jumping we crossed the stream. Kathryn K. found the actual trail, and I delegated her to navigate us for the rest of the hike.

Upon arriving at Lake Ontario we sat on the rock wharf and had some lunch while watching the sail boats, waves, and ignoring the Pickering Nuclear power station. Dawn reminded me that I had neglected to do the "introduction circle" before we had started the hike, so after lunch we completed the circle of introduction, making things a little less awkward on the walk back.

On the return trip no river crossing was required, and that's all I have to say about that.
