__________________________________________

This is an intermediate hike. There is only one steep climb, but a lot of smaller hills, with significant elevation gain and loss. There will also be a couple of stiles to climb over. Also some muddy and icy areas.

There is no carpool for this hike due to covid restrictions. Participants are responsible for driving themselves to the starting location.

This hike will go ahead in bad weather (snow/rain etc.), unless it is dangerous to do so.

Ice sometimes lingers until the late spring, so having a pair of icers in your backpack is recommended.

Please bring a lunch and plenty of water. We will stop for breaks to enjoy the countryside, but it will not be possible to drop off the hike once it begins. You should be confident about being able to walk the entire distance before signing up for this hike.

Well behaved, well socialized dogs are welcome to come on the hike, but must be on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. Please be prepared to carry your dog over any stiles and fences we have to cross. Please pick up after your dog. Please indicate if you are bringing a dog when you sign up.

There's an extra step to signup due to covid precautions, please read the instructions above, in RED carefully. Please add yourself to the waitlist, and I'll move people off there onto the hike after reviewing the notes. I'll probably cap attendance at around 10 people. Please feel free to email me with any questions.

The total distance we'll hike will be roughly 12km.

The hike is on Map 13 (Silver Creek) in the 29th edition of the Bruce Trail Guide. You don't have to bring a map, this is just extra information for those who have the Bruce Trail Guide.
