Itinerary:

The Centennial Park Golf Centre is a relatively short 18 hole course. It has 3 9 hole courses of which the longest is 2038 yards. The course starter will direct us as to which 2 9 hole courses we will be playing on the day of the event. And this place has a good mix of par 4's and 3's; making it an ideal venue for beginner level players as well as experienced golfers looking to work on their game and give everyone a chance to use every club in their bag.

While neither organizer is a CPGA certified teaching professional, we can provide basic instruction on club grip, golf stance, swing mechanics, putting, chipping, and golf etiquette.

We'll meet at Downsview station at 9:45 AM and leave no later than 10:00 AM. We should be at the Centennial Park Golf Centre around 10:30 AM, for a warm up at the driving range and putting green, and short lesson for those who want one. We expect this practice time to not take any more than 40 minutes and be ready to play no later than 11:30 AM.

This course does not take tee time reservations and green tee times are sold on a first come, first serve basis, in person. So once everyone is done with the warm up, we will pay for our green fees and line up with the course starter and wait for our tee time. We expect the event duration (from carpool to end of game) to be approximately 5-7 hours, finishing sometime between 5:30 and 6:00 PM.

Afterwards, we will head to a suitable watering hole for some post game refreshments.

Golf Game Rules:
In order to ensure that everyone keeps a good pace of play during our 18-hole game, we will use the following guidelines:
  • We will play the best ball off the tee for each hole. So players may elect to move their second shot from the spot of the best drive.
  • We will also institute a maximum score of double par for each hole. So players who reach the maximum score prior to reaching the green will be allowed to move their ball to any spot on the green to putt.
  • Other specific golf game etiqutte rules such as taking drops, hazard relief, lift & clean, etc. will be discussed during the round.
