Bayview Village + East Don Parkland 10 km (1/30/2020)

Itinerary:

This is a weekday daytime hike!



DISTANCE: 10 km

PACE: 4.5 km/h

DIFFICULTY: D3 we may have a few short but steep forested hills to ascend and descend

ICERS: we may need icers for this hike. Be prepared. You must keep icers in your pack during the winter months.


Along a mix of paved, gravel and dirt paths
We will start and end at Bayview Station

Great Snack Spot: just past the bottom of the hill going south from Forest Grove Drive, on the left.
There is a huge log that can accommodate 20 hikers. Nice large clearing, but somewhat hidden from the path

  • MANDATORY! PROPER ICERS with sharp metal points to dig into the ice
    - keep icers in your pack during the winter months.

We'll be meeting at Bayview subway Station, on the northeast corner of Bayview and Sheppard, across from the Shell gas station, not the Esso gas station.

Bayview Station is on the Sheppard Line, (aka Line 4)
