Itinerary:
Along with the Halton-North Peel Naturalist Club, Bruce Trail Association, and Ontario Vernal Pool Association, the Credit Valley Conservation Authority is planning a significant construction event to build boardwalk near the Silvercreek Education Centre to protect the breeding habitat of one of Canada ’s rarest amphibians - the Jefferson salamander. And they need people to help them out and make this project a success!!!

It should be a great workday and a lot of fun. We’ll be building 150 metres of boardwalk through the Silver Creek Conservation Area to protect the habitat of the Jefferson Salamander and to make this portion of the Bruce trail more suitable.

No previous experience is necessary.

The CVCA will be providing lunch (if you're vegan/vegetarian, please add a note to your registration). Based on previous workdays, the lunch is likely to be a tasty BBQ of meat-based and veggie burgers and dogs.

These events are always a lot of fun and it is really great to get out and swing a hammer.

Please note that the work will be continuing on Sunday as well. If you are not able to make this event and can arrange transportation to work on the Sunday, the CVCA would be very pleased to have your assistance!
