Itinerary:
Why not start off the new year with a simple trip to Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area.
We can generally only count on a handful of parks taking campers in the winter, so we are lucky this one is so close.

The trails here are local favorites and feature five distinct lookouts to the South and East. Nine other conservation areas are a short drive away, including the ski hill at Glen Eden.
This makes a nice opportunity to get some experience sleeping in the snow, and there are many options available for entertainment during the day. Everyone is welcome.

As it is the holiday season in such close proximity, arrivals and departures are flexible. There is even the option of dining locally in Milton, which is less than 10 minutes away. The basic facilities will be available, however, the comfort stations will not.

You will need a winter sleeping bag, or two lighter ones, a sleeping pad, and warm clothing to spend 36 hours or more outside in sub-freezing temperatures. There will likely be some tents available for sharing. We can share food, have a potluck, or whatever you prefer.

New fees are set on January 1st, so the final cost is not known at this time. Whatever remains after the accomodations are paid for will go towards firewood.

If there are any questions, please feel free to contact us for wisdom or advice.
