About the film:

"With major exhibitions planned around the world, 2016 marks the 500th anniversary of the death of the notorious Hieronymus Bosch (1460– 1516). One of the most celebrated painters of all time, Bosch is spectacularly known for his fantastic imagery of heaven and hell. Hieronymus Bosch follows a team of experts for four years, travelling the world to examine all known Bosch paintings, cutting their way through the art world's tangle of red tape in a battle against countless egos and conflicting interests. With high-res macro, x-ray and infrared cameras, they examine the wooden panels and penetrate into his paintings to unveil the creative process. Discover Bosch’s incredible work in the run-up to an 'astonishing homecoming for this madly inventive artist, setting the grotesque against a deep but compassionate melancholy that burns into our soul' (The Guardian)."

In Dutch, English, French and Spanish, with English subtitles."
