Itinerary:
I recently read about this huge mural painted on the side of a building near Yonge & St. Clair that sounded rather intriguing. I haven't been up there in a while, and since one of my favourite hiking routes in the city is also up that way, I figured I would kill two birds with one stone.

We will start at St. Clair Station and follow this route:
• Head south through Rosehill Reservoir and south through Balfour Park
• Counter clockwise loop through the central ravines
• West then south through Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
• Up the hill and back to St Clair Station

Route Rundown:
Distance: 8km
Pace: Between 4.0 - 4.5 km/h
Expected Time: 2 hours
Trails: Mostly gravel and dirt trails with some paved sections.
Terrain: There are some rolling sections and two big hills.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a D2 so we will be hiking a bit slower than I usually do. Speed demons need to be prepared to dial it back for this hike. This is intended to be a fairly leisurely walk.

Following the hike I'm going to walk over to the building with the mural. It is less than a block from the station, if you want to come check it out, you are certainly welcome to do so. By all accounts it is pretty cool.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 2:00pm.
I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike.

See the map below for the start/end points and the rough hiking route. Click the point for transit info.

This hike will go forward rain or shine or snow. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours before may result in postponement or cancellation.
