Itinerary:
We will head to the True North climbing gym for a few hours of crimping and pinching, or in other words, your typical fun-filled climbing session. We will meet at the front desk inside the gym, look for me in the blue Maple Leafs cap.

True North has a wide range of climbing routes, easy ones to give complete beginners a taste and difficult ones to leave experienced climbers scratching their heads. If you've ever been curious about climbing, this a great chance to try it and maybe discover a new passion.

Those who haven't climbed before will have to take an introductory lesson to learn to belay safely. If you have climbing experience but haven't been to True North you will have to pass a belay test. If you fail the belay test, you will have to take the intro lesson. The belay test is free but the lesson is not (see cost breakdown below).

Anyone who hasn't climbed at True North before will also have to fill out and sign a waiver, which can be done ahead of time (Click here for the waiver page on their website). You will need a climbing harness and shoes, which you can rent from the gym (see cost breakdown below). Flip flops are also recommended to wear between climbs.

Cost breakdown (paid directly to the gym):
Day pass: $20
Equipment rental: $12 ($6 each for harness & shoes)
Intro Lesson Package: $40 (includes lesson, day pass, and equipment rental)
Intro Lesson Package/Membership: $55 (includes, lesson, day pass, equipment rental, one month membership)

There are also punch cards and memberships available. To learn more, visit True North's Web site: www.truenorthclimbing.com

I will contact anyone who has not climbed with me before to determine how many spots to reserve for the intro lesson. If you have any questions before or after signing up, feel free to contact me.
