Weekend at Cabin near Blue Mountain (Coldwater) (1/6/2006)

Itinerary:

To attend this event you MUST have a car, and MUST be willing to take at least 2-3 other passengers. We'll meet at the carpool and travel as a convoy to the cabin. It's near: Blue Mountain, so a group of us will likely be going skiing. You can rent equipment or bring your own. FYI - lift tickets on-site are $50 (plus applicable taxes). Full day rentals (Skis, Boots & Poles) are $34 (plus applicable taxes). The cabin has a gas stove for cooking meals.


Required Items to Bring:
Sleeping bag & pillow, appropriate winter clothing (hat, gloves, windproof/waterproof jacket & pants) for 2 nights,
sufficient $ for food (~$20-25) and $20 for your part of the cabin rental.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take Hwy 410 (Exit 344 off the 401) 10 km NORTH to Bovaird Drive (Hwy 7), then turn left, heading WEST for 3 km to Hwy 10. Turn right, heading NORTH on Hwy 10 for 60 km to Hwy 89, then head WEST on Hwy 89 for 4km Alternatively, some people go up Hwy 400 to Hwy 89 (Exit 75), then heading WEST all of the way (44km) to the 124/89 Junction near Shelburne NORTH on Hwy 124. There is a large Esso station at this intersection (If you reach downtown Shelburne, you missed the turn).
