Itinerary:
It's another daytime edition of hike for a slice as we're going to be checking out one of the more infamous pizza joints in Toronto. Rest assured it has nothing to do with the pizza.

We will start at Pape Station and follow this route:
• Northwest along neighbourhood streets to Pottery Rd.
• Down the hill and do a short lap of Crothers Woods.
• South on the Lower Don Trail to Riverdale Park.
• Cross the river and head through Riverdale Park West.
• West along neighbourhood streets to Yonge & Gerrard.
• Head to a nearby pizza place for a slice (if you wish).

Route Rundown:
Distance: 10.5km
Pace: Between 4.5 - 5.0 km/h
Expected Time: 2 - 2.5 hours + pizza time
Trails: Mix of paved trails, sidewalks, and single track mountain bike trails
Terrain: Some rolling sections, two sets of stairs, and one big hill.

PLEASE BRING ICERS. Some of these trails can be a bit treacherous and if there is snow or ice on the trail you will need extra traction. I may have to change the route due to trail conditions and/or construction along the Lower Don Trail. I don't anticipate having to add any distance, if anything the distance will be slightly reduced.

Following the hike I will take anyone so inclined to a local pizza joint for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This pizzeria features really big slices of thin chewy crust pizza. There are several different types of slices, including vegetarian options.

See map below for start/end points and the rough hiking route. Click the points on the map for transit information.
