Itinerary:
This is the big one folks, Hike For A Slice Part VIII. December 15th happens to be the 367 day anniversary of my first TOC event, which is almost a significant number. This is obviously very exciting, so let's grab a celebratory slice .. after a hike of course.

We will start at Eglinton West Station and follow this route:
• Head south through Cedarvale Park.
• South on Spadina Rd and down the 100+ stairs at Casa Loma (woo-hoo!).
• West through some neighbourhood streets in Seaton Village.
• Northwest to Davenport neighbourhood.
• West through a series of connected (kind of) Parkettes and north through Earlscourt Park.
• East to St Clair & Dufferin.
• Head to a nearby pizza place for a slice (if you wish).

Route Rundown:
Distance: 10km
Pace: Between 4.5 - 5.0 km/h
Expected Time: 2 - 2.5 hours + pizza time
Trails: Mostly paved trails and sidewalks with a few dirt/gravel sections
Terrain: Fairly flat with some rolling sections and three sets of stairs.

Following the hike I will take anyone so inclined to a local pizza joint for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This pizzeria features good sized slices of a bit heavier pizza with a thicker chewy crust. It's a bit different than most pizza places these days, but still good. There are four different types of slices, including vegetarian options. It is actually a full blown Italian restaurant, so while I will obviously suggest trying the pizza, there are other Italian options available to choose from (pasta, salads, etc.).

See map below for start/end points and the rough hiking route. Click the points on the map for transit information.
