Itinerary:

DISTANCE - 9.2 k

PACE - 4.5 - 5 km/h

DIFFICULTY - D3 a short easy hike, but it will be dark and cold !!

This hike will be along a mix of pavement, gravel and dirt paths, with 1 hill to get your heart rate going

We'll start and end at the SOUTH EXIT of York Mills subway station which is on Old York Mills Road.

Don't get left behind! Allow enough travel time and please arrive early, we will start promptly, and I will turn off my cell once we begin hiking.

This is the route we will take.

  • start at York Mills SOUTH EXIT !! (Old York Mills Road)
  • north thru Don Valley Golf Course
  • loop Earl Bales park
  • south thru Don Valley Golf Course
  • End at York Mills subway station

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

We are NOT meeting at the corner of Yonge and York Mills.

We ARE meeting on Old York Mills Rd which is immediately south of the Shell gas station.

If coming from the 401:
Drive south along Yonge St into the valley. Look for Old York Mills, which is one block south of York Mills Road & Wilson Ave.

Parking information There is parking available on the north/west corner. Please note: You will have to pay for parking, even on weekends. More info for this parking is at: http://www.ttc.ca/Subway/Stations/York_Mills/station.jsp#Parking_

If coming by Transit:
Travel to York Mills subway station on the Yonge Subway line.
3 Stops south of Finch, 7 stops north of Bloor.
Exit at at the south-entrance. There are signs on the platform pointing to 'Old York Mills Road' Follow those signs.

We'll meet at the entrance, its just across the street from the Shell Gas Station.

Look for me with a GOLDEN whistle on my backpack.
