Itinerary:

We have booked two (2) sites for this weekend, and there is a maximum of 6 people per site. We've booked site #s 310 and 313. Because of the large demand for this weekend, all participants must be members of the club (i.e. no guests, sorry). We'll have a pre-meeting before we leave to work out carpool and equipment sharing.

Sub-events to include hikes to explore the pink granite points in the park (the park has 3 hiking trails), and biking on the Seguin Trail, a former railway turned pathway, which starts near Parry Sound and runs through the woods for 75km (one way).

From the Killbear Provincial Park website; "This Georgian Bay peninsula is a water lover's paradise for swimming and sailing, fishing and boating. Camp by a sandy beach, on a rocky shore or under the trees. Hike to lookouts for views of Parry Sound, that lonely white pine on a windswept rock or one of Georgian Bay's spectacular sunsets. There is plenty to do, hiking, biking, canoeing, and swimming."

Bike transportation to event: Depending on car pool vehicles, and available bike racks, there may not be enough space to take all bikes to the event. Final arrangements to be made at the pre-event meeting.
Payment: The minimum payment of $12.00 will be due two weeks before we go in order to reserve your spot. It is NOT refundable after the due date.
Wait list and payment dates If you really want to come camping but are on the waiting list, you can send in money prior to the payment cutoff date. If everyone has paid and there are no extra spots, we'll refund your money, however, if an extra spot opens up on the cut off date, you'll get that spot.
Car pools and arrival times:We can show up any time on Friday we have booked but must vacate the campsites by 2pm on the Sunday. Car pool arrangements will be made with the help of the coordinator. In the case of waiting lists, a driver may replace a non-driver (or someone who choses to meet at the site) if we have a lack of car space. Carpool drivers will make accomodations to pick up people and equipment at a convenient place and time.

Never been camping? Do not worry - I will make sure that you have access to all the equipment and information you need! Car camping is a fun and easy way to introduce yourself to camping in Ontario.

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $129.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Tuesday, May 7, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

Notes:

- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the TOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with full refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where TOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refund of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in TOC events.
