I had a harder route booked but as there is already a canoe trip posted for this weekend, I changed to a beginner level trip at a location with lots of options to portage into other lakes or hike the Uplands trail. We will basically arrive at the put-in in the early evening and paddle about 1.5 hour to a site on beautiful Rain Lake. Beginners are welcome, if we have enough experience paddlers signed up. Just let me know your skill level in the notes when you sign up. We may be able to arrange 3 person canoes so that we can take children or non-paddlers.

I would aim to have communal meals to meet all food restrictions and may even do some baking on the fire as I've done in the past.

Pre-trip meeting: Tues. July 8, 6:30 pm. Loblaws above St. Clair West subway station. Meet at the tables on the main floor.

YOU MUST AGREE TO ALWAYS WEAR A LIFE JACKET WHILE IN THE CANOE AS PER TOC POLICY. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DO SO.
