Itinerary:
Observe breeding birds and late spring migrants at one of Toronto's birding hotspots. Get started on your life-list with this opportunity to encounter 75+ species. Warblers, flycatchers, sparrows, thrushes, birds of prey, waterfowl. Butterfly diversity should be at its peak. This hike will cater to the beginner. Meet at the gate to Tommy Thompson Park at the base of Leslie Street.

Event Directions:LESLIE STREET SPIT (TOMMY THOMPSON PARK) IN TORONTO

TTC (from Queen & Yonge):
Take the Queen Street Car #501 east to Leslie St. and walk south (about 2 km) to the base of Leslie Street. You will see the gate and signage. You can also take Jones Bus #83 at the Donlands Subway Station or transfer to it at Queen St. and Jones Ave. and take it to Leslie St. And Commissioner St.

By automobile:
Drive to Lakeshore Blvd. and Leslie St. then south to The Spit.
