Itinerary:
A weekend full of car camping adventure and giving back to the Bruce Trail, by clearing storm damage done over the winter. There is no washroom or outhouse on the campsite, so we will be roughing it. Bring TP and a trowel.

I started a discussion on the forum to discuss gear and carpool arrangements to avoid having a pre-meeting. Please click here to check it out.

I have registered our group to assist with the Bruce Trail clean-up, and we will be working independently of them in our own teams after receiving directions. We will camp overnight Friday and Saturday and return back to Toronto after helping clear trail on Saturday and Sunday.

What to bring: The TOC Car camping checklist

"Sydenham is one of our smallest clubs in membership, but its length of main Trail is the greatest of all clubs. They are short of trail captains to keep all their main and side trails in excellent condition.

On the weekend of May 31 and June 1, 2014, volunteers from across the BTC are invited to help Sydenham club tackle various trail maintenance projects. Workers will be organized into groups under an experienced leader, and each group will handle a specific section. “Rookies” are most welcome.

A Saturday evening celebratory dinner is planned at a local restaurant, and for those interested, free camping will be available. We hope that most volunteers will stay for two days, but if that is not possible, you are welcome to join for one." - Bruce Trail Association Volunteer E-mail release
