Itinerary:
**Update: After seeing the amazing interest in this event, I inquired with the U of T re. the possibility of increasing the size of our group, and they have agreed! Woo-hoo!!!!** Come with the TOC to check out the FREE public tour of the U of T astronomy observatory! Note that this evening is the night before Good Friday (a statutory holiday), so you might be able to sleep in the next day. Or you could be like me, and have another TOC event early the next day. (This is the reason that I can tell you right now that you’re on your own if you want to go out for drinks/coffee afterward, but feel free to ask your fellow participants!)

More details from the website :

“The tour starts with a presentation on modern astrophysics by a doctoral candidate, a postdoctoral fellow, or a faculty of our department. We try to keep the level of the talks to a degree understandable for high school students. This presentation is 30-40 minutes long.

“The evening concludes with a tour of our telescopes. On clear nights, one or more astronomical objects will be viewed. Typical objects are the Moon, planets, and double stars. On cloudy nights, viewing will be replaced by a tour of our observing facilities.”

For this particular evening, the lecture will be "Life in Galaxy? Are We Alone or Just Haven't Found It Yet?"

Should be fascinating!
