Street Art : Graffiti...Rush Lane, and area. Street Art Walk.

Graffiti: Words or drawings scribbled, or sprayed on a wall and other place's.

Like it or hate it, Graffiti is Street Art. Art is what you make it out to be. You will see the interesting styles that Graffiti comes in, like Tagging, Throw Up, Blockbuster, Bubble, Splash, and Wildstyle.

Rush Lane / Perry Lane, is a gem of a place that you can see this Street Art, in Toronto. In this area, the Graffiti / Street Art is always changing. Each time I do this Art Walk, there is something new and interesting to see.

You will experience a part of Toronto, that many people do not know about. I will give the group a talk, why you see Graffiti. Graffiti is a premeditated, and sometimes highly organized, form of vandalism with a very well-developed subculture behind it. It's often motivated by a desire for fame which accounts for the same " tag" ( stylized signature or marker ) or " masterpiece " being seen over and over again. This is the very area, that Rick Mercer. From the Rick Mercer Report. CBC TV. Show. Is where his " Rant " is shoot.

I will show you a few " Heaven's ". What is a Bomb in Graffiti Art. We will walk the back alleys / lanes, off Queen St. W., from Spadina Av. to Bathurst St. to see very interesting Street Art. You will come out from this Walk / Talk, with a better understanding of what we see from the street, what we know as "Graffiti".

After the art walk, we'll find a place that can accommodate our group for a social gathering.
