Itinerary:

Come explore the beautiful Rouge River Valley. This was my first coordinated hike and still ranks as one of my favourites. There are a few steep climbs with one steep descent and some rolling hills. Some very nice lookout points and great scenery, and one of these points will serve as a lunch stop. There ARE facilities on the trail :-)

We will be hiking at approximately 4km/hr, and we'll stick together as a group. We can break into slower and faster groups assigning a lead and a sweep, but it will be necessary to wait for everyone to group back together at all lookouts, trail changes and intersections. So if you are a really fast hiker who doesn't like to wait, this is not the hike for you. This hike is suitable for intermediate hikers and beginner hikers who have some experience and are ready to challenge themselves. Due to the terrain and the length, it is not suitable for beginners with no trail experience.

Members willing to drive may get priority on the hike. Although the hike indicates a maximum of 2 participants, I will add passengers once I have a sufficient number of drivers. Due to the number of no shows and last minute drop outs on my events, coordinator may be selective and use participant attendance records to choose attendees.

NO SHOWS: Anyone dropping out after the registration cutoff will receive an AUTOMATIC NO SHOW - no exceptions. Please respect the people on the waiting list and if you can't attend, remove yourself BEFORE the cutoff time to give others time to adjust their lives and join in. Thanks in advance!
