Itinerary: | |||||||
This event will be a medium paced 23km hike of the Hilton Falls Side Trail. On the trail, we'll hike pass the wooded and rocky terrain around Hilton Falls, frozen beaver ponds and meadows, and the top of the Niagara Escarpment.
We'll keep a comfortable pace of around 4 km an hour. Please bring hiking boots with good ankle support. Hiking poles and icers are recommended, especially if the trail is icy. Lunch and snacks will be on the trail. All dogs must be on leash and all dog waste must be packed out. Dog owners are responsible for their own rides. Note: If you come on a winter hike, you should always have a pair of icers in your pack. You won't have to use them very often, but when it is icy on the trail, you'll need them. The icer is held to your boot with a set of Velcro straps, and keeps you from slipping and sliding. You can purchase good quality icers at MEC. | |||||||
