Itinerary:
For a fun and laid-back Thanksgiving Day outing that will have you back in the city in time to have your turkey/tofurkey dinner, join me this Monday!

We’ll be going pumpkin-picking at Albion Orchards! Pick that peck of perfect pumpkins yourself! Due to unusual spring weather, the apples in Ontario are producing yields of approx. 20% of the amounts produced in 2011, so there will be no pick-your-own apples, but there are lots of freshly picked apples to buy. Albion Orchards has a country market with lots of freshly baked pies, apple cider, Mennonite jams and fudge from St. Jacobs, so you can buy your lunch there or bring one. Then we’ll go for a very, very easy hike along the Caledon Trail, and stop somewhere along the trail to eat our lunch. We’ll backtrack to the cars, and then head home with our bounty!

The fall colours are out so I expect that it will be a lovely drive and a lovely day in the country. How very autumnal!

Please note, drivers will have priority. Drivers, please print the directions.
