SOFTBALL - The Danforth Edition (4/8/2012)

Itinerary:

Blasphemy, so it "rained" again, so maybe third time lucky.

So I'm trying out a new ball park for the club out in the east end, right near Chester Subway Station.

Softball is fun game for those from various levels. I welcome anyone to come out and play. We will be using a softball and metal bats.

Participants will learn the basics of the sport and then we'll form teams to play.

After the game you're welcome to join us as we head to nearby pub for some much needed refreshments and post- game good natured ribbing.


Required Items to Bring:


BASEBALL GLOVE

Water, energy drink.

-NOTE: If you need help finding equipment, please contact me ahead of time, not on the day of the event.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

If taking transit, get off at Chester Subway station. Go south to Danforth and cross the street. Turn left and walk, one traffic light down to Logan Ave. Walk south for a minute and look for Frankland Community School.

If driving, Frankland Community School is located just south of Danforth on Logan Ave. However, Logan Ave is a one-way northbound road,so drive to Carlaw, go south, take the first right to get to Logan and then travel back north to Frankland Community School (It will be on your left)

Notes:

This game will commence in clear weather conditions - This game will be canceled no later than 2:00 pm on the date of the event.

I will keep my cell phone on until 5:30 PM, in case anyone is lost. Following that time, it will be turned off as we will begin playing.
