Itinerary:
This is a good first ride of the season. I went on such a ride a few years ago posted by Adele. With the unseasonably mild weather this year, I thought I would lead the ride myself.

We will meet at Old Mill subway station, and follow the Humber River bike trail north to Weston Road. We'll turn around, and bike back south along the same trail, pass Old Mill, and come to the lake.

Once at the lake, we'll follow the Lakeshore trail east, ride north through High Park, and make our way back to Runnymede subway station along Bloor St.

While most of the ride will be along paved, bike paths, some of the biking will be along city streets -- so it is IMPERATIVE that you are safe, comfortable and experienced sharing the road with cars.

We'll be moving at a moderate pace, with a few breaks along the way, since for some it may be the first bike ride of the season!

Also, since weather can be variable at this time of year, it's ideal to dress in layers.

After the bike ride is over, we can gather in a local restaurant for lunch. If you are interested in this possibility, please bring a bike lock with you.
