Itinerary:

Snowshoe and Winter Caving Day out!

Event Description/Itinerary:
Join your fellow TOC adventurers and our event guides Free Spirit Tours as we snowshoe through the woods to explore some of the Niagara Escarpment’s uniquely formed caves at Metcalfe Rock near Collingwood/Blue Mountain. Experience the beauty of winter while snowshoeing through a winter wonderland. You’ll be guided on trails leading through beautiful woodlands with the opportunity to see some wild life.
Don’t worry if you haven’t snowshoed before - you will be provided with full instruction and equipment. Once at the caves, we’ll take off our snowshoes and then enter the caves. At times we’ll be climbing and maybe even crawling – but it’s worth it – it’s a whole different world underground! So come and discover some real winter adventure.
A full day out - starting very early at the carpool and returning very late to Toronto. This event is suitable for beginners to experienced participants and whilst this activity does require some physical ability to snowshoe and possibly crawl in the caves - total beginners are fine doing this! You are allowed to skip the "caving/crawling" part of the outing and focus more on snowshoeing in the nearby vicinity. Please note that this special group rate for TOC assumes no change to the timing schedule, no drop out during the event and you cannot get a reduced price if you choose to use your own snowshoes.
