Itinerary:

Number of folks had asked me to run this hike at Heart Lake Conservation Area . So let's go for a Sunday stroll and enjoy the last of the autumn leaves underfoot before the snow covers them all. We will walk the woodland trails around the Heart Lake for about 5 km and then return, keeping a good pace of about 4.5 to 5 km/hr. The trail has few hills but is otherwise fairly flat. This walk should take about 2 to 2.5 hrs.

We will meet at a small parking lot on the south side of the Sandalwood Parkway, just west of Heart Lake Road. NOTE: You can only access this parking lot travelling EAST on Sandalwood Parkway.

Non-Bramptonions note: you're welcome to join us but there won't be a carpool - you'll have to get out to Brampton under your own steam...

The hike will go rain or shine. The trail may be muddy and slick in spots. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for conditions and the weather.

Note that the park is closed for the season and so are its washroom facilities, so plan accordingly.. :)

If there is enough interest after the walk, we can go for a quick bite/coffee.
