Copper Kettle Festival, Arc Two Bombshelter and Pine River Waterfall (8/27/2011)

Itinerary:

We will be visiting the picturesque town of Creemore and touring the Creemore Springs Brewery, while attending the Cooper Kettle Festival.

Afterwards, we will go going to Ark Two, the world's largest privately constructed bomb shelter in nearby Horning's Mills. In exchange for a tour of the bombshelter and the Pine River Waterfall (also on the property), we are required to volunteer. A variety of volunteer tasks will be made available at Ark Two.

Carpool cost will be approx. $12/person roundtrip.

*WARNING - Not recommended for those with claustrophobia.

9:15am - Meet at Finch Station Passenger Pick-up

9:30-11:00 Drive from Toronto to Creemore

11-2:15pm Walk around Creemore, attend Cooper Kettle Festival, go on tour of the Creemore Springs Brewery

2:15-2:40 Drive from Creemore to Horning's Mills.

3:00-8:00 Volunteering at Arc Two site (in exchange for a tour of Arc Two Bombshelter and Pine River Waterfall)

8:00-9:30 Drive from Horning's Mills to Toronto

Turn right onto Airport Rd/County Road 18 (signs for Airport Road) 19.7 km 6. Turn left onto ONT- HWY 89 W 13.5 km 7. Turn right onto County Road 124 (signs for Collingwood/Dufferin Road) 6.8 km 8. Turn right onto Main St/County Road 14 1.4 km 9. Stop at the corner of Main St and River Road (in front of 161 Main Street).
