Itinerary:

Have you been to one of Toronto's many free outdoor movies yet? If not, here is your chance to catch the last outdoor movie in the Harbourfront Centre's City Flicks: Six in the City series. The identity of the movie is still unknown as it is being chosen based on an online Audience's Choice poll - it will either be Cairo Time, This Movie is Broken or The Tourist. The movie starts at 9 PM on the Westjet Stage, a great venue for movies with a canopy to protect viewers from the weather and comfortable seating.

And did I mention that its free!

To get there, we'll leave from Broadview Subway Station at 6:30 PM, and hike about 7km to the Harbourfront Centre, following this route: Click here for a map view

  1. South on Broadview to Riverdale Park
  2. Take the pedestrian bridge across the DVP to the Don Valley Trail
  3. South on the Don Valley Trail to Lakeshore
  4. Follow the waterfront along Lakeshore and then Queen's Quay to York St and the Harbourfront Centre

As a bonus, along the way, we'll get a chance to visit two of Toronto's newest waterfront parks, Sugar Beach and the recently revealed Sherbourne Commons.

We'll hike at a steady pace of about 4 km/hr, which should get us to the movie for around 8:30 PM and leave some time to explore the new waterfront parks

This event will be organized and run by Mathieu Morin. Please direct all questions and concerns to him.
