Itinerary:

My commute to work is so short that I have decided to take a detour such that I get to ride more, and hence, be out there more :-)

So far this spring, I have not ridden much and that must change soon! The weather forecast looks good for Thursday, so let's get a ride in :) Note that if there is chance of heavy rain and/or thunderstorms, the ride might be canceled and you will be notified by email. Check your e-mail the morning of the event.

You are welcome to join me for the whole or part of the way (depending on your final destination, desired distance, and schedule). We will meet at the northwest corner of York&Queens Quay. We will ride east and make our way to get on the Don Valley Bike Trail and head north and east. Then connect to SunnyBrook park, and ride the last leg on a commuter route (26 West). The final destination is Yonge&Eglinton area. The entire distance is approximately 20km.

We will be riding on paved surfaces, mostly on bike paths, but on some roadways as well. So, you must be somewhat comfortable riding with automobiles. We would keep the pace at 15-18km/hr. Your bike should have front and rear lights. It is highly recommended to wear some reflective clothing.

Note: a bike helmet is mandatory.

If you cannot join me, there is also Fletcher's event.

Required Items to Bring:
A well-maintained bike; bike helmet (mandatory); at least one spare tire tube; basic bicycle repair kit, including tire levers; water
