WELCOME SPRING! SAT MORNING HIKE


Next weekend marks the vernal equinox, which is the official start of spring. We will go for a morning hike at in the rolling hills of Glen Major Forest, checking for signs the woods are coming back to life after winter. The forest has evergreens and open areas with lovely views from the tops of the hills. We will hike about 10 km, and then head off to enjoy the rest of the day.

Icers are required for this hike.

DIFFICULTY RATING: This event is rated D3. We will be hiking together at a pace of approximated 4 km an hour. Please do not sign up if you want to go a lot slower or faster.

FACILITIES: There are no facilities at Walker Woods (other than the bushes :-)

DOGS: Well behaved dogs are welcome and must be on a leash.

Dress in layers for late winter/early spring (expect to be out 4 hours).
