Itinerary:

Why buy yourself a hat for all your TOC activities this winter when you could make your own?

Here is your chance to start making your own gear, or MYOG as you'll often see it. A knitted hat is a great warm piece of gear whether you're snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or winter camping.

TOC members will have their own private class at The Knit Cafe (http://www.theknitcafetoronto.com/) in which they will learn to knit a hat.

This class will introduce the indispensable technique of using double pointed needles. This will open up doors to all things knit in circles. In this class the focus will be on the basic unisex toque.

This course is geared to beginners though some basic knitting experience is helpful - i.e., casting on, casting off, knit stitch, purl stitch.

After you sign up for the course you must contact The Knit Cafe to pay ($30 not including materials: 6mm dpn, Misti Alpaca or Manos del Uruguay). You then must confirm with Jenn M that you have paid or you will be removed from the event.

Please contact The Knit Cafe at 416-533-5648 to register for this class using your credit card.

Be sure to bring money to buy the knitting needles and yarn.
