Itinerary:

We'll pick up the Bruce Trail near Lake Eugenia and hike around the bottom of the Beaver Valley, past Eugenia and Hoggs Falls (possible lunch spot), to end up on the west side of the valley, pretty much opposite where we start (BTC Map Ref: 26). The distance covered will be approximately 20 km. This hike will be typical Bruce Trail, up and down under trees, some road walking, steep ascents or descents in places. We should have some spectacular views aruond the Beaver Valley, and hopefully, not too much snow to contend with...

We will travel at an average pace of around 5 kph, slower going up, faster coming down. This event will also involve an end-to-end car shuttle so there can be no drop-outs once we start hiking. NOTE: Previous experience at a D4 level is required - if you have no TOC D4 events, provide your recent hiking background in the notes when you sign up.

Footwear with good foot and ankle support is required; anyone showing up at the carpool without proper footwear will be sent home.

After the hike, we'll find a local restaurant for dinner, before heading back to the GTA.

Note this is a SUNDAY departure from Kipling - check your bus schedules as the subway doesn't start running until 9:00am...
