Itinerary:
We will be working on the McVean farm, just 30 mins outside of Toronto. It is organic and local - what could be better for our food supply? And if you're a frustrated gardener living in an apartment like I am, you'll be looking forward to getting your hands in the dirt too!!! :->

The team will work until noon, doing whatever needs to be done(tasks to be supplied by the farm leadership), and then we will be taken on a tour of the farm.

Pack your own lunch and bring your own water - THERE IS NO DRINKABLE WATER ON SITE. (It's also going to be a hot day, so bring lots of water, plus hats, sunscreen, etc.)

The TTC subway does not start running until 0900 on Sundays so you may need to plan an alternate mode of transportation to get to DOWNSVIEW subway station on time. Check out the new TTC Trip Planner to figure out the best way to meet up on time with your coordinator. You can specify the time at which you need to ARRIVE at your destination, and it is recommended that you put in a time at least 15 minutes before the scheduled TOC event departure time. Please note that the tool is a beta version and the TTC are still working out the bugs. If a route looks a bit funny, confirm your directions with TTC Customer Service.

Please note that we're meeting at DOWNSVIEW subway station d/t ongoing work at the York Mills SS parking lot.
