Itinerary:

This event is a hike AND spa visit - if you don't intend to go into the spa, please wait for another hike and allow someone who does want to fully participate go instead.

We'll pick up the Bruce Trail at Scenic Caves and hike through the Len Gertler Forest (BTC Map Ref: 24). The distance covered will be approximately 16 km. This hike will be typical Bruce Trail, up and down under trees, a short amount of road walking.

Note that we will travel at an average pace of around 4.5 kph, slower going up, faster coming down. It will also involve an end-to-end car shuttle so there can be no drop-outs. Bring a change of clothes for the end of the day - details below.

Footwear with good foot and ankle support is required; anyone showing up at the carpool without proper footwear will be sent home.

The spa looks to be a good thing, so after the hike, we'll head over to the Scandinave Spa in Collingwood again, and enjoy the sauna, steam and hot baths. After the Spa visit, we'll find a local restaurant for dinner, before heading back to the GTA.

  • Swimsuit for Spa - mandatory!
  • Change of clothes for post-Spa dining
