Itinerary:

This is part I of a six part series I will be doing on learning your bike routes in Toronto.

We will start by meeting at Christie Pits.

There we will have a quick lesson regarding the day's travel plans, by reviewing the Toronto Cycling Map.

When we head out, we will travel south on Grace street to Harbord St, where we will hook up with the 14 Bike Route.

The 14 Harbord/Wellesley route is one of the best routes to cross the downtown core on. However, it can be confusing, as it ends in queens park and does not tell you how to continue.

We will navigate through U of T in order to connect the two routes. We will then follow the 14 all the way to Sherbourne, which is the 39 bike route.

We will travel north via the 39 and hook up with the 41 to travel through the Rosedale neighborhood.

Upon reaching Summerhill Rd, there will be a mandatory break at the local ice cream shop, before we continue.

We will then continue to follow the 41, up past Moore Ave, through the Mount Pleasant Cemetery and across Yonge (via the belt line) to Oriole Park.

We will then connect to the 35 Bike Route on Kilberry Road to cross Avenue Road to connect to Old Forest Hill.

Old Forest Hill is route 33 and this will take us to our concluding destination at Eglinton West Subway Station.

Total Distance = 18 KM

We will be doing a comfortable pace of 15-18 KM/H
