Itinerary:
We will ride from Aldershot GO Station to Lindley's Farm in Ancaster where we will pick strawberries. We will eat our lunch there and then have a drink in a restaurant in nearby Ancaster on the ride back to Aldershot.

Melissa Eberly will be our route planner and navigator. She informs me that most of the ride will be on trails and on street bike routes. On one trail there are some sections of gravel. If you have a road bike like me, you may need to slow down or even a walk on one or two occasions.

We will also be on one stretch of road with quite heavy, fast moving traffic near Aldershot. And so only sign up if you are safe and comfortable riding in mixed traffic, i.e. with motorized vehicles.

We will meet at Union Station at the GO ticket wickets in the lower level (near Bay Street) at 9:30 PROMPTLY to take the 9:43am GO train. Return tickets cost $18.10. We will use the elevator to get our bikes to the platform. Ideally, there should only be a maximum of 4 bikes to a carriage, two at each end. Bikes are places behind and in front of the 2 vertical steel poles, next to the seats as you walk in the door. Please allow passengers to get on board first. We will arrive at Aldershot at 10:48am.

If you want you can also meet us at Aldershot GO station, in the parking lot.

We will catch the GO train leaving Aldershot at 17:04 or 18:04 and arrive at Union Station about an hour later.

In the notes section of the sign up, please let me know whether you will meet us at Union or Aldershot Station.

If you have not ridden with me before, you MUST answer the following questions in the affirmative (if you have ridden with me, you know the drill) – it is easiest to copy and paste the questions in the notes section of the sign up page and then write your answers:
1. Do you agree to wear a bicycle helmet?
2. Are you experienced, comfortable, and safe riding in traffic i.e. with automobiles?
3. Are you able to bring a spare tube for your bicycle?
4. Does your bicycle fit properly?
5. Is your bicycle in decent shape ie no rusty chain etc, working brakes?

Required Items to Bring:
Bicycle helmet, Water, Spare tube, Sun block, snacks, bicycle lock, lunch, clothing to suite the weather, a container for your berries and a way to transport them on your bike. Also bring about $30 to $40: $18.10 for the GO ticket, about $10 for the berries, and additional $5 or $10 for a drink and snack in Ancaster.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
