Itinerary:
No, we will not be riding drunk!

Rather, this is a chance for us to ride our bike with fully loaded panniers, tent, thermarest, sleeping bag, pillow, kitchen sink, well you get the idea. I am setting up this trip because myself and others will be going on Vicky’s bike tour the following weekend. And I want to see what if anything falls of my bike before starting on the trip itself.

You can come for the ride, even if you do not want to ride with gear. However, we will be traveling quite slowly..

We will depart at 10:30am from St George and Bloor Sts, just outside St George Subway Station. We will proceed down St George, Beverley and John Sts to Queen’s Quay and the Martin Goodman trail. From there we will head east to the Beach area of Toronto. We will look for a restaurant in which to eat lunch and then head back to the City. If the group would like we can cycle the Leslie St spit on the way back. The end point of the ride is St George and Bloor. However, you can peel off along the way.

While much of the route will use bike lanes and paths, some parts will be along streets in mixed traffic i.e. with automobiles. Therefore, to take part you MUST be able to ride safely in mixed traffic.

Please do not sign up if you are not safe on the road.

If you have not ridden with me before, you MUST answer the following questions in the notes sections of the sign up page: 1. Do you agree to wear a bicycle helmet? 2. Are you experienced, comfortable, and safe riding in traffic i.e. with automobiles? 3. Are you able to bring a spare tube for your bicycle? 4. Does your bicycle fit properly? 5. Is your bicycle in decent shape ie no rusty chain etc, working brakes?

Required Items to Bring:
Bicycle helmet, Water, Spare tube, Sun block, snacks, bicycle lock. $10 to 15 for lunch clothing appropriate to the weather.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
