Itinerary:

Have you been talking about wanting to swim more? Improve your strokes, become a stronger more confident swimmer, or just get some low impact high result exercise? It's hard to get motivated to get to the pool on your own, especially if you haven't been in a long time. For those that have wanted an excuse to get to the pool, or just need some extra motivation, I'll be trying out a 5 or 6 week program that I'll repeat throughout the year.

I expect to add some finesse to it as the session and year progresses, so if you sign up for the first session, you'll be able to add your input as the year goes on. We'll spend each week working on a new stroke, I'll give you the basics and you can spend the hour or so working on that stroke. I won't spend the session out of the pool watching you, but if you want to ask me any questions I'll be available to give you a few pointers. On the last week you can pick a few of your favourite strokes and we'll do an endurance, a full hour or so of lengths...and keep count of how many so we'll create a 'TOC swims' chart that will show how far we've swum as a group.

This is open to all levels of swimmers, and former competitive swimmers are welcome to join up and offer to give lessons or pointers on strokes, turns, dives or anything else they want to pass on. Beginners, this is a perfect opportunity to gain confidence among a group of friends. And if I can show myself in a bathing suit, then so can you - so no excuses about looking fat!

Note regarding fees: There is a fee for the use of the community pool, I'll follow up with those details later. Suggested donations for this event will be $5, or $1 per session. There will be no class on Thanksgiving Monday and I will be away on the following Monday, so please note the break in dates.
