Come and join us for a TOC Golf Learn, Practice & Warm Up session to get ready for the season. The Centennial Park Golf Centre is a great place to warm up and get ready for the golf season. It has adequate practice facilities where we can practice on every aspect of our game. Also a relatively short course with 3 9-hole courses with a good mix of par 5's, 4's and 3's of which the longest is 2038 yards. This makes for an ideal venue for beginner level players, as well as experienced golfers looking to work on their game, and gives everyone a chance to use every club in their bag. While the organizers are not CPGA certified teaching professionals, we can provide basic instruction on club grip, golf stance, swing mechanics, putting, chipping, and golf etiquette. We'll meet at Kipling TTC station for a 9:00 AM departure. We'll get to Centennial Park Golf Centre around 9:30 AM and head to the practice area for a warm up on the driving range, chipping and putting greens, and a lesson for those who want one. Then once we're all done with lessons & practice, we'll pay our green fees, and register with the starter to play 9 holes. We expect this practice time to take around 60-75 minutes and we hope to be ready to play about 11:30 AM, depending on how soon we get a tee-time. Once everyone is done with the warm up, we'll check in with the course starter and wait for our tee time. We expect the event duration to be approximately 5-6 hours, finishing sometime between 2:30 and 3:00 PM. Afterwards, we will head to the Wild Goose Bar and Grill on Eglinton for some post game refreshments. | |||||||
